Good morning, I ordered a custom roller door from your company a couple of weeks ago, I was given the delivery date of 13th May. At the time of order I thought like most companies this would just be an estimated date and understand things can be delayed. I was very happy to receive a delivery update on the 13th and received a call several hours prior of when the driver expected to arrive at my delivery address. He arrived at the time he had advised and was very friendly.
I printed the installation instructions and when installing found these very east to follow.
The door has been installed by myself and is working wonderfully with no issues.
A good product, does what it says it will do. Again, same as the door, the installation instructions could've been more detailed(first time diy-er)
As far as the door itself, a Taurean door, the review is only positive, seems like a very good door, functions very well, very happy with the product and its appearance. Thanks for that. I was rather disappointed in the installation instructions though, the pictoral and instructional detail was lacking. A frustrating amount of times where you didn't know exactly how a part was to be installed, because the picture didn't show enough detail, for instance, the angle iron support brackets that hold the plastic curve of the rail, one side of them was pressed to a different shape than the other, but the instructions just showed a plain piece of angle iron with holes, so you didn't know where the pressed side was to be located. Also there was a few times in the instructions where assemblies were magically assembled in a picture in a step, but didn't show enough detail to show exactly how they were assembled. I seem to remember this was the case with the flag brackets and the things that were attached to them. It also wasn't immediately obvious how they were supposed to be assembled, it was really only once I had the door fully assembled and functioning that I was sure I had done it right. If you're going to market something as diy, you need to write the instructions for someone with 0 door installation knowledge, not for a tradie that does them regularly and doesn't need the instructions anyway. Really the door makers should take tips from the people that wrote the installation instructions for the merlin door opener, because they were extremely clear, well illustrated and very step by step. And also the door opener works great, thanks very much for that.
