Ensure your shed window opening has proper structural support for a smooth, secure fit. Check that the corners are square (right angles) to prevent misalignment and that the frame is level and plumb so the window slides properly.

For the perfect fit, measure the rough opening—the space where you plan to install the window. Make sure you measure:

  • Width: From stud to stud (or frame edge to frame edge) at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.
  • Height: From the bottom to the top framing at both sides and in the centre. Again, use the smallest measurement.
  • Depth: Check that your shed wall profile (e.g., Corro, Trimdeck) is compatible with the window's cladding allowance (up to 29mm deep).
